Hello all,
Just finding a lot of conflicting (and discouraging) information about fixing slipped achilles tendons.
I'm hoping someone has some information or experiences about how to fix slipped tendons in small birds, any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks!

I have a Button quail who developed a slipped tendon as a chick. We weren't able to correct it (at first I thought she had splayed leg) and I had read any leg problems were fatal for Button quail, but she's survived and she's even raised chicks. She turned a year old just before Christmas and she needs a bit of thought put into her pen, but she's a great little mother. Her sister just wants to lay eggs and isn't at all interested in being maternal.

Is this the little finch you were rehabilitating? Or another bird?

Thanks @JaeG.
This is actually concerning a tui fledgling (I volunteer at a bird rescue). Any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated.

And thanks for remembering the finch, she's eating pretty well on her own (with some supplementation) and doing great!

Look at that gorgeous finch baby!

Poor baby tui. I have no wisdom to share in this area. Can you access a vet through the bird rescue organisation? I know it's tricky enough to fix in chicken chicks.
