Thanks! I'm sure other folks have a soft spot too for the underdogs. These elderly babies (however much time I have with them) have already brought me so much joy. I hope they have love and happiness finally. Sometimes Jennifer, at the Carolina waterfowl rescue, knows their stories, sometimes not. I have adopted 5 birds from there and everytime I go I see another one that will haunt me until I drive back to get it. Right now it's a swan that I'm mulling over......
