Anyone have luck catching a feral chicken?? UPDATE: Rooster caught, no hen

Just a broody update.
I'm doing indoor chicken jail next to an air conditioning vent. Day 3...
I think she's *maybe turning around.
She ate today much better,
And when she was allowed outside for her "recess time" she actually pecked and scratched and dustbathed for an hour.
She's still clucking but there were a few moments of actual quiet.
:fl:fl:fl

I think we had those last year. They were horrible!

I still have tape on my doors where we had tried to stop them from slipping in the house.

We resorted to shop-vacing them. The smell was so bad!

I'm over run with those smelly biting false lady bugs! They love to bite me in particular it seems.

One of the few downsides to country living. Shopvac is only viable weapon, but empty same day or gag later. We bought the house in June of 2015, but didn't fully move in until July of 16. We'd come here spend a month or two, then go back to va, etc. When we got here in November we filled the small shopvac twice before we got them all up.

Here are some close-ups of two of my 3.5 week old babies that my Mama hatched.
They are Black Cochin/Dominique or Dom cross sex links.

This is Penguin. You can see why I named him that from his baby picture.

This is one of the girl chicks.

These babies are growing quicker than any other babies I've had.

It's a smell you don't forget.
