Anyone have luck catching a feral chicken?? UPDATE: Rooster caught, no hen

Vote if ya can please:
Hi everyone!
I uploaded these to an album and was hoping that you all could go there and rate them. A five star means that you would really like to see it added back to the library, a one star means you don't really care.

Well today has been a disappointing day.

On top of only getting 4-5 hours of sleep, waiting 5 hours for the auction, dealing with a slightly sick toddler by myself away from home, and driving 4 hrs round trip, my beautiful Delaware trio brought only $9 and my gorgeous New Hampshire trio brought $8. After the auction takes its share that will leave me with a grand total of $10.75 for all that time, energy, effort, care, and feed. I spent that much plus a quarter for two of the Delawares as chicks!

:barnie

It was a buyer’s auction. I would have done just as well to bring single roosters as they brought $5-9 each. At least then I would still have 4 layers. Oh well, that will teach me to take good birds to an auction before scouting it out first. Oh well at least I know where to get goats and feeder pigs when we are ready for them. They were going for $30-50 each
