Anyone have luck catching a feral chicken?? UPDATE: Rooster caught, no hen

I loved those as a kid & was ecstatic when I found them again! I thought about starting my own fundraiser so I could stockpile them. But then I realized I'd eat all the profits!!! :lau:pop

I also do not heat the coop. Really if it is ventilated then one would be trying to heat the outdoors.
I don't think any of us re looking forward to the cold months ahead. I KNOW I am not. :tongue

None were fertile.

I also set 16 Cream Legbars, and 1 dozen Super Blue Egg Layers, and 4 olive eggers (CL X Marans cross).

I ended up with 12 CLs, 9 SBELS, and 3 OE. I also added in 9 salmon Faverolles chicks that were shipped in. So it was a decent hatch rate.
