I was raised on Community Coffee (that's actually the name), and that is what everyone that I knows drinks.

Just curious as to what the rest of the world drinks.

Been drinking coffee AWHILE now LOL. Now out to walk w/dog.

Wow, now I am excited, I didn't realize Alex was real. Well they are filming part of his story at the other end of my block!! Will have to keep you posted on what they film in my neighborhood. Could we use this movie on the chicken channel?

What a morning!

Of course on our coldest night so far my lamp goes out in my outdoor brooder (outdoor as in brooder in coop, not in house) .

Not only was it blown out, but when I went to change it the glass part detached itself from the metal screw thing that goes into the actual fixture, so I had to use the old potatoe trick but with an onion because that's all I had.

Most chicks had Mama heating pad so they were good.

A few were out from the heating pad and must have been basking in the heat lamp light when it died and were visibly weak. But they perked up under the light when I changed the bulb.

The fat, fuzzy little Faverolles were also mostly out in the cold, found them in the food pan, of course, but are somehow completely unphased.

I'm headed into work late and I was in such a hurry I didn't have time to do a thorough depoopin'. So now I know I've got chicken poo SOMEWHERE on me, but I CANNOT find it. I smell it, so I know it's there, but it's invisible. I am going to be the stinky person at work today.

I save Community for special occasions as it is sooooo hard to get a hold of. Generally we drink the aldi's generic brand as its best bang for buck and actually tastes better than a lot of the name brands.

Lol, y'all are right.

She isn't ugly, per se. She's actually changed a lot for the better since we first got her. She's very different from my other pullets and hens.

I keep waiting for her to "fluff up" like all my other chickens, but I don't think she is going to do much more fluffing.

We nicknamed her the egret because of her long legs and beak and her upright stance.

Her flight zone distance is also ridiculous. My fluffy-butts bound toward me in a stampede on sight but she runs in the opposite direction anytime she just sees us!

I like Karen! She isn’t ugly!

I think it would be nice if chickens smiled or something to look less mean.

It's so good! The chicory blend is my favorite!

A lot of people who visit or move here from other places don't like it, they think Community Coffee is too strong or bitter. I say nay!
