Anyone have luck catching a feral chicken?? UPDATE: Rooster caught, no hen

A co worker of mine had a heavy self closing door slam him in the face. His nose was profusely bleeding. I made him shove a tampon up his nostril to stop the bleeding. He thought I was trying to make fun of his manhood. The ER doctor told him I was absolutely correct & how lucky he was that I knew what to do.
I have heard that that is the best treatment for a bullet wound, too.

Absolutely! There used to be this green martian looking thing they put up a nose for nose bleeds. Looked like a green martain leg sticking out a nostril.

Here are some close-ups of two of my 3.5 week old babies that my Mama hatched.
They are Black Cochin/Dominique or Dom cross sex links.

This is Penguin. You can see why I named him that from his baby picture.

These babies are growing quicker than any other babies I've had.
We had an Aussie that looked like a baby penguin when we got her. We actually called her penguin chick until she got her real name, Loki. My younger daughter loves penguins so we chose that one for her.
I spent a few nights with friends in Virginia several weeks ago.
They were in the throes of a stink bug invasion. (Aka shield bugs)
Since I used to live there and am familiar with them it cracked me up that they vacuumed every nook and cranny of the whole house from ceiling to floor three times before noon because their northern relatives were coming for a visit. My friend's husband was the one doing the vacuuming! He was afraid the relatives would think they were dirty people.
Even still, that night while I was trying to fall asleep I
Could hear them.......
We have a stink bug situation going on here in Northeast Ohio to. I don't know how they get in because we live in a basement apartment where you have to walk through a main entrance to get into our apartment and are windows have screens in them, but periodically we find stink bugs. My mother's house has them flying all over the damn place.

Both my daughters get really bad nose bleeds and have more than once stuck a tampon up their nose to stop the bleeding. It looks as ridiculous as you would think, but when you have blood pouring out your face it seems to help.

Years ago in the early days of my veterinary tech life, I was taking a tour of the fancy new vet hospital that had hired me. I was walking through the postop suite and glanced in at a dog still under the effects of anesthesia, just at eye level with me in an upper cage and noticed a tampon half in/half out of the dog's behind.
"Oh my goodness!" I shouted, " This dog ate a tampon and is pooping it out!"

Post op rectal surgery that is...
Took me a long time to live that one down.

Y’all! I want to bring the really small cochin inside and cuddle her for a little bit, but I am afraid that would make her a target. A couple of the Brahmas don’t like her around them, especially when she is wanding aimlessly for someone to crawl under. I nuzzled her under the neck of my shirt a couple times today. What do you think?
I know exactly how you feel. My little B. Cochin loves snuggles and the older girls seem to pick on her. I want to make her a house chicken soooo bad. But I've left her to find her place in the flock. I still give her snuggles when no-one is looking
