Anyone have luck catching a feral chicken?? UPDATE: Rooster caught, no hen

Peeps I am going to bed and maybe even to sleep if
A. I can drown our DH's SNORING With a pillow over my head!
B. DD would get home so I could stop worrying about her out driving late at night.
C. The cat would get off my thighs.
D. The dog would sqwoonch over six inches so I could roll over and still have some blankies. He is currently twitching and huffing in his sleep -probably thinking about all the trick or treaters he met tonight!
See you by the coffee pot in the morning.

My life definitely parallels too many of y'alls.

Gnight tweetie!

Could have been a failed prank. Stolen/dumped.
There's always talk of people doing mean things to black cats on Halloween.
Does it look as though she used to have a collar? Do you know what I mean? Like if I take my cats collar off his hair is a little thin where it comes into contact with his neck.
Also i understand you live in kind of a remote area but it could have a microchip in it.
If you lived near a vet you could just take her in and ask them to wand her for you.

I keep forgetting that 1. Today is Halloween and 2. People are assholes and would do some chit like that. smh

Very true. There is a vet not to far from us. I'll see if I can run her there tomorrow for a quick scan. Think the BF is smitten already. Keeps saying "what are the odds? On Halloween." He was out on the porch and heard her making noise. Called kitty kitty and he said she ran right over. Head butted him and he picked her right up. She's in the basement for now. Food, water, litter box.

Yeah, we have a new cat. :th

This is my black kitty. He is polydactyl (5 toes on both front feet & 6 toes on each back foot) and his name is Gomez. He's 18 pounds of robust love.

There are lots of answers to the problem of too many cockerels. Crockpot. Roaster. BBQ. Fried. Tacos. The list goes on and on . . .:drool

Yes, but what if they're super sweet and affectionate and run to you just to be picked up and snuggled? See....that's why I'm up to three "pet" roosters and one "almost-pet" cockerel. *Sigh* My boys LOVE me.
