So this little lady showed up at my house tonight. Mind you I'm on 30 acres on a street with less then a dozen houses. And 160 acres across the street.

I may have a new cat.

Kitty!! We used to have a black cat also. Vicious thing. We went on a trip so my grandparents got it for a few weeks. It nevere came back. They have turned it into a semi-vicious cat.

Here are my Dark Cornish Trio. I have them in one of my 5'x 5' broody runs until I can get something more permanent made up. I'll try to get better pictures later, but I had just let them out and fed them and it is cold and rainy today. The rooster is really good with is girls so far. He was the first to venture out of the crate and clucked to them that there was food and they followed him right out.

Home from the dentist! So yesterday evening my Yorkie ate Maddie bowl of food with Lasix and heart medication. I know this because she woke me up TWICE to go pee! The first time she ran to the rug and emptied her bladder before I made it to the door!!!! My dogs are killing me slowly!!

I guess because I only had 4 hens before, there was never chest bumping or pecking. These chicks are nuts! Biting backs and pulling feathers. Relentless!

However, it seems that the long car trip and new environment didn't bother the girls too much. Look what I found today. Unfortunately, it will be feeding my parents' dogs. I found out when I picked the birds up that the breeders use Frontline on the birds to keep them mite free. According to my research, it takes 8 weeks for the bulk of the chemical to leave their system and I don't want that in the eggs that I'm hatching for meat. The stuff in carcinogenic and even traditional CAFOs aren't allowed to use it. Honestly, if I had heard this tidbit and did my research before I got them, I wouldn't have bought them. But, I have them, they are beautiful and I'm going to work with what I got.

I would be worried about giving that to my dog if it isn't save for humans...? Just a thought.

@staceyj, @TexasSam Thought it was the meat mix I was having trouble with, my mom premade the mix for me, still fell apart. I've tried repeatedly. They fall apart at the last flip every time. LOL

Well rolling as much as you can when frying. One side gets cooked so I roll it to the next little bit. Then that last roll it all comes undone.

I have found that mine do best baked, on a rack. When I brown in a pan, I use tongs and work in 90 degree turns. Brown, bottom, then top, then left, then right. After that I'll roll to finish.

Okay try low heat with a lid 5 minutes on each side unless it starts to burn
