Anyone have luck catching a feral chicken?? UPDATE: Rooster caught, no hen

The new run will be on backside, so at least my husband’s pretty run will be on the front side!
That is what I thought initially, but I read they deplete all the nutrients out of the food.?.?.?.

Yes, bugs eat nutrients, chickens eat bugs... Chickens get nutrients from the bugs rather than from the feed. It still all goes to where it belongs.

We are under a severe thunderstorm watch. @Suzi18 Be careful! Tornado warnings your way.
Yes....we were grocery shopping in Kroger when the tornado sirens went off. They corralled us into the big walk in coolers til the warning passed. They spotted several funnel clouds but none ended up touching ground. Still scary none the less

My favorite place to buy chicks makes their own feed. If they were closer I would always use it. It is plain brown bagged. Looks generic in packaging but I never lose chicks when using that feed.

I store in buckets with gamma lids. LOVE my gamma lids.

Oh and a gratuitous pic of my cookie balls!

Tornadoes are no joke. I remember the April 27, 2011 outbreak. I don’t have the energy to talk about that day and weeks to follow. It was bad.

Ok.....I have to share with all of you the cupcakes I made. I'm so excited that they turned out so well.
