Anyone have luck catching a feral chicken?? UPDATE: Rooster caught, no hen

@apryl29 I have seen a doc and he said surgery was up to me. I have a lot of arthritis too. Unfortunately they don’t do spine replacements like hip replacements.

@FlyingNunFarm sorry about the kitty. Hopefully whatever happened to her was not intentional.

I just started drinking coffee in August. I like a dark roast with half a cup of milk/flavored creamer.
I get on tea kicks too.

Walmart tends to vary their offerings a bit based on location/ local demand. The one by my house (a rural, agricultural area just outside town) has horse feed, chicken feed, etc etc. The one by my parents house (in town) has none of that but a lot more organic, whole grain and other more specialized food items
So maybe there is a high demand for chicken stuff in your area! Lucky! :D

I'm sorry the cat didn't make it. I try really hard to use anything but poison, I don't think it's humane. I try to keep anything that could be food for rodents in places they can't get to, that way, if they come in to or garage, it's to get out of the rain. They get in under a garage door that doesn't sit all the way down on the floor.

It's hard when there's nothing you can do, but you did everything you knew how to, and she was given love and tenderness that she probably never had before. At least she experienced that for the last few hours she had.

That is so true!!! In some of the Huntsville WalMarts I cannot find what I need because it is geared towards a specific ethnic group. Decatur has a huge Hispanic community. Which leads me to a story... but it lengthy and I will have to type it out tomorrow.

Tell me more.

I'm buying my feed from hillsboro feed co.

I'm so sorry :hit

:hugs:hugs:hugs Hugs for doing a good thing and making her comfortable at the end.

X2 and so sorry she didn't make it:hugs

Tea drinkers UNITE! I love my tea. I drink it all the time. Even right before bed. I've gotten used to drinking it unsweetened. Caffeine and no calories. SCORE! And NO I can't have artificial sweeteners, they give me migraines and stevia is nasty. I prefer it unsweetened anymore anyway.

I hate coffee. It stinks, it tastes nasty. The only "coffee flavored" thing I like is Kahlua and only in hot chocolate.

I don't pollute my tea or coffee and am a caffeine addict.

Edited to fix this multi-quote thing...

My mom had a hip replacement in June. It wasn't pretty, but she healed well and is much better off than before. She went to see a Dr about back surgery and he said She had the back of a 58 year old and that her hip was twisting her body (how she couldn't tell, IDK). Turns out the blood flow had been cut off and her hip bone was dead & grinding away. For some reason not a single dr caught it bc they blamed the pain on the arthritis. She's had the surgery and is on way less pain drugs. I was shocked when I saw how much she was on.

+1 on the coffee, but usually black. For those who hate coffee bc of taste, brand and light/med/dark roast matter. I can't drink some kinds bc they give me heartburn.

@apryl29 the WalMart “Hen House” Decatur, AL. Maybe WalMart is getting in on the chicken business. I don’t think they have had them before, but not sure.

Interesting. I wish mine had fun stuff like that. I'm really jealous! Ours doesn t have feed either. Not even the one in Amish country, but there are several feed stores nearby.
