On my way to Village hall... to find out if they will allow me 2 mini sheep... I have very mixed feelings about how they are going to answer..... I am soooo nervous....
OMG the mayor forgot about us....seriously. A trustee brought us up and the mayor was basically like ... oh well I forgot to look at that.... and then blew us off... I'm kinda speechless atm... and kinda sad that my village is being run by idiots. They asked me to find out 2 things.. and I did but the mayor wasn't pprepared to answer us because he forgot about it... My husband blew up... May not help us but we have sat through almost 5 hours of mind-numbing village meetings... and I wastold last month that they would definitely have an answer for me this meeting.. sorry to ramble I'm just a little frustrated ... now we have to wait until June 2nd....... my neighbor said there's an old saying that goes something like "It's better to beg for forgiveness than ask permission.." I should have just gotten the sheep and worried about the village when and if they ever found out... and if it was a problem by the time the village figured out what to do..I'd be selling my house and retiring somewhere else!! aaagh.. Thanks for listening
I am so sorry to hear that you are waiting yet again.
Is there anyway that you can put the salient points in writing and deliver them via mail (snail or email maybe even both) to your mayor & council members a a day or so ahead of the meeting to keep it firmly fixed in their minds this time? And to have the positive highlighted for them going in? At the very least you know that they will not be putting you off again that way & if the good stuff is there perhaps they'll focus on that and just get the vote over and done. After all even with the delays you haven't had a huge upwelling of anti sheep sentiment built up so if that was a worry of theirs that will also be allayed by now. I have been hoping each time that you will succeed this time....I have decided that in this case it is better than a NO & so the delays may prove to your benefit in the long haul. Although I'm certain that you probably feel like screaming &
at this point.
Hang in there & take comfort in the fact that we're rooting for you!!
I appreciate your response and your good vibes as well.
Over the past month I had sent 2 emails to the clerk who told me he forwarded them to the Mayor...
I guess he forgot to check his emails as well.
But I will try your suggestion, it's worth a shot... And yes sometimes when things take a little longer the response is better than a dead NO! from the beginning.
TBH people in the audience and my neighbors asked me why I went to the Village in the first place... they were all like "Just get them! Noone's gonna complain" But I would hate to get a couple of cutie patootie mini sheep and find out I have to get rid of them... But now I feel like that's what I should have done.... idk but I'm gonna just relax and try to tell myself that maybe there's a cosmic reason for the delay
