Hatched too soon last night. Last egg and didn't finish reabsorbing. It was bigger last night. Chick was just sleeping mostly. Today more active, still in the incubator. Do you think she will absorb it? I don't want to cull when she is gaining strength, chirping and drinking sugar water. Any tips?? She isn't fluffing up either.

I hope so. I cleaned the incubator and put her on a damp paper towel and have it nice and warm. I'm keeping the area clean and moist. She drinks the sugar water from a syringe. I'll keep trying. Should I get any type of antibiotics?

I would.
The wet towel is probably why it's not fluffing up and it might actually make the chick cold constantly being wet.

No I don't think antibiotics will help it absorbs this...it needs time.

Ah ok. I just wasn't sure if the yolk sack needed to stay wet to absorb. It's 99 and 70s humidity still in there. Is that too high?

They all poop green for the first poop.
Are you giving her food?
If not I would do so.

I wouldn't touch it...I'd be scared I would accidentally pop it but some people put coconut oil or similar on it to keep it moist.
