Anyone have pic of mature Danish Brown Leghorn pullet

Thanks! Since I couldn't find any real pictures, I wasn't real sure what they would look like!

How are your Cochins doing? Mine are growing like crazy and seem to be settling in well.

I am, by far, and expert on chickens, but here is the info. I have....

Yes, it is in the breed Leghorn, but there are many different varieties within this breed.
From the http://www.feathersite.com/Poultry/CGK/Leghorns/BRKLeghorns.html site--
"The breed originated in Italy, but most of the color varieties were developed in Great Britain, America and Denmark. The birds are found in both single comb and rose comb forms and in many colors, including White, Buff, Silver, Red, Cuckoo, Mottled and Brown among others. The Brown Leghorns are further divided into Dark and Light."

As far as a "standard" for Leghorns, I don't think the "Danish Brown" is considered a standard breed in the US, but I don't know about abroad....? Honestly, I really think this is simply what IdealPoultry calls their "version" of a brown Leghorn, and since a lot of people in the US order from Ideal, many are familiar with this particular name for that reason.

Hope this helps....

"Danish Brown" is a term hatcheries use for their Leghorns. In the APA Standard of Perfection you have two brown colors of Leghorns: Light Brown, and Dark Brown. There is no "Danish." In my experience, the Danish birds sold by hatcheries are mostly like Light Brown Leghorns.

The American Brown Leghorn Club has a nice gallery of birds you can check out here: http://www.crohio.com/ABLC/photo_gallery/photo_gallery.htm
