Anyone have problems with putting day old chicks with 4 or 5 day old chicks???

You should be ok. I put them in at night and no one even seems to notice.

I only have one chick right now and will be adding 2 or 3 more, but maybe she'll be thankful for the company. Do chicks sleep more at night even though they have the brooder on all night? Not sure how to sneak them into a brooder...

They should be fine. When mixing chicks of different ages, just watch them closely at first to make sure no one is getting hurt. I think its better to put them together when they are all as young as possible, so they grow up together. It seems like the younger they are, the less problems you have.
