If you buy "shamo" from a hatchery, they will be shamo in name only. All depends on what you are looking for...
These are not hatchery shamo.....
Hatchery birds many times have had other things graded in to increase their production. Pure Oriental Gamefowl are poor layers and quick to go broody, making it nearly impossible for a hatchery to offer them "pure" without raising hundreds as brood stock. Don't get me wrong, some of the hatchery birds I have seen are nice looking birds in their own right, but they are not shamo and do not deserve to be called such. High, above horizontal tails, large wattles, horizontal body carriage.... like I said before, all depends on what you are after. If you would like, I can give you the info to contact some breeders of very, very good stock....
