Could any of you folks post some pictures of silver laced chicks? I have a few questions about the three I picked up last week. Two of them have spiky little narrow comb stubs coming in, and one of them has a broader and totally flat comb area. What are they supposed to look like at a week old? I'm ok with the idea that one or two of them won't have rose combs (if that's what it means), but I thought the odds of that happening were pretty low.
These are my first chickens and I've been sitting here having a heart attack over the thought that the two with spikes are boys. Please tell me it's too soon to worry about that.
