Anyone heard of sexing Khaki campbells by their bean on the bill?

Name this bean...lol
What do I have here, can we tell by these two? I can't catch a good pix of the third.

GAH! I wish I had known about the "bean thing" months ago! LOL! I can hear quacks and rasps, but they travel in a pack and I can't tell who is making what noise. My guys are past old enough for me to be able to tell by now, but no one has a curly tail feather yet. I will check out beans this weekend! LOL!

Oddly, my 8 wk old KC has orange'ish legs, dark bean on a lighter beak, obviously darker head and neck, green iridescent sheen on his head...all of the typical physical traits of a drake - however he/she quacks like a duck, so we're still unsure. :(

So I am seeking your wisdom on this ancient thread! I have a similar situation with a clearly quacking duckling and character traits of a duck, but in the sun I can catch a glimpse of shiny green in the fluff. So, my question is-did it turn out to be a boy or a girl? Hopefully you see this!

So we have 2 KC, I’m guessing both are male by the bean? They both have same dark bean- they are a little over 5 weeks- they still are making a peeping sound

I recently got khaki Campbell's also, I have 5. They are about 4 weeks old. A book I have says that drakes have orange feet, while females have grayish feet. I cannot tell yet who is going to have what color feet on my ducks, although some are starting to quack, so I think at least a couple are female. I guess time will tell!

My 3 girls all have dark beans. Here's Jade from this morning when they decided they wanted to be inside ducks.

The guy at my feed store told me to pic up a duck and shake them (gently but enough to make them make a sound). If they make a very loud and distinct "quack!" it is a girl but if the sound is lower pitched and more of a hissing sound than a formal quack it is a boy.
Thats how i check ugly babies too!
