Anyone here from Manteca or surrounding area?

I currently live in Brentwood CA for the last 2 years and I only have ONE HEN because the city of Brentwood doesn’t let you have chickens unless you have LARGER property (which I don’t and didn’t know when I bought here..... but I’m now considering moving out towards Manteca (or the surrounding area) in the summer of 2018 but I wanted to know any details you can share about chicken ordnance’s. Are there any certain neighborhoods against it that might complain, or any areas that have no problems? Please feel free to help me before I make a huge purchase of a home and regret it. I refuse to give my hen up and I can’t wait to get her some more friends.

Hello! I am just now joining and I had similar questions there is a website for Manteca that you can look at I was just reading it it said that you have to have space in the backyard at least 20 feet away from an adjacent property unless you have permission from the owner. You can also only have a limit of six animals three of which not be more than dogs or cats. But you can take a look on the website for Manteca City. It's a beautiful area!
