hello everyone, just wondering if anyone else here loves the great out doors? (sorry if this is in the wrong place)

for me i love the outdoors, i just really enjoy nature and the things you can see. for me being out doors is always something to look forward to, weather am hunting or fishing and just got into trapping. walking around my land, hiking in the northern forest. its all great.

so anyone else here love the outdoors?

Yes, me too! That is why we live in the middle of no where! We spend most days outside here, at least until it gets too cold out there!

We live on at least 20 acres (it was either 25 or more around forty lol I can't even remember) 3/4 of it is woods. Very beautiful in all seasons, I enjoy taking walks in the woods. The only thing keeping me from being out there 24/7 is none other than backyardchickens.com!

We only have 13 acres, but it is in a loop of the river so only one side not waterfront. Almost all wooded.

that is awesome its always been my dream to have a river running through my place.

if you don't mind me asking is there any fish in the river like can you just walk like from your door and start fishing?

I am sure there are fish in it but idk what kind. We have been crazy busy since we moved here. DH went fishing once for about 15 minutes, nothing. But the bears leave paw prints down there so i am thinking fish are on the menu. It is a bit of a walk to the river, our house is on a steep hill so we don't flood here. A couple hundred foot walk i would say.

Do I love the outdoors the only way to express it is through feeling and smelling and tasting the expreience....

I tell people I live where the earth breathes... half way between the Pacific Ocean and the Sea of Cortez... On a little patch of the Sonoran Desert. The winds coming from the north East are charged from the Hot true desert .... clean and dry and full of energy.... The winds from the south West Loaded with Iodine and the smell of the ocean....

The desert here is High and recieves a bit of its Annual water from snow... Monsoons travel through here on their way to Arizona dribbling and spitting their potential along the way. It doesnt sound like much but nine inches per year makes the desert bloom with Flowers and critters.....

My neighbor calls the flowers Belly flowers. you see a carpet of yellow or purple... but in order to see the flowers you have to lay on your belly they are soo small.

talking about tasting just saw a video on eating muskrat, made me hungry got go out and trap me some to eat lol.
