Yes, and you can go online at USPS.gov and have them send you text and/or email alerts for that tracking number.

However, I recommend going down to your post office and talking to someone there to let them know to call you as soon as they arrive. Also, ask for a phone number that you can call to check early on the morning(s) that you expect them to arrive. I called my PO on the icy morning at 6:30 AM and was told to come on down and they would let me pick up the chicks before the PO opened. All the peepers were there and healthy despite the ice storm!

USPS only works for when they actually scan the box, upload, sync, etc. so it doesn't always work like you think it would. Just call and make sure they know that they can call at 6 am or whenever the truck arrives.
