Hi there! We live in Pipestem right up the road from you both:) We have SLWs, Silkies, Seramas, Cochins (frizzled, too), Production Reds, one lonely Bantam Salmon Faverolle roo but we have eggs to set for him in a day or two.

I also have White Silkie Showgirl eggs to set. Cannot wait!!!

I wish we could come to the meet at TSC on the 23rd, but it's a four hour drive and I doubt any hotel would let us bring chickens in the room! LOL Do we have to be NPIP to sell?

Anyone have fertile eggs for RIR? We seem to be overrun with broody orpingtons. Thinking it may be time to let them go and replace with a less broody, higher production breed. Would consider leghorn eggs too. Going to call around the feed stores today to see what they have. Is a production red the same thing as a RIR?
Thank you!

Hi, I'm in Elkins. I have been in and out of chickens for years and I am getting 'in' again. I am also thinking about having a little hobby business of making chicken tractors on the side... I am looking for some hatching eggs and a few interesting chickens right now. I want to keep to very family friendly chickens that are good layers, silkies, or heritage breeds.

Of course, that is what I 'think' I want, often I end up with alot different...
