Anyone interested in raising fast fleshing Delawares? We have a situation

Mods: please let this post sit here at least for a week. I'm specifically needing the attention of people that raise birds for meat.

I've had terrible luck this summer here in south Florida raising the large fast fleshing Delawares. I've lost my 2 largest males to heat stroke. I passed some birds on to my friend to help save this line before they die off down here. We both have chicks. She has new neighbors building behind her house that have threatened to report her for the roosters. She has to let the Delawares go. Pretty fast. Is there anyone that would like to carry this line? I don't think she's looking to make a profit off sales of these birds just to find someone looking to save this line. They came from Erin Angulo of Dawnridge Farm in California and she has since retired. I've made a lot of posts about my Delawares so please see my post history. My friend is NPIP and can ship. She doesn't like to ship chicks but I'm begging her to please ship of she will for this line to continue on.

We are in Indian River County and St Lucie County in Florida. If anyone in north Florida is interested we can probably make that work by car. I have chicks hatching this weekend as well. I have a couple older males as well.

You might try posting to

And the other closest metro areas on reddit to get a really localized pool of people.

Sorry though. That sucks :/

Have you reached out to Erin Angulo? Sometimes, breeders, especially the good ones, have people still reach out to them years after they're no longer breeding. They might know several people or have contact info for people who would love the genetics? Maybe?
