I just bought one. It's a 1973 Ford one ton 360 dually with a cattle bed. It runs great- the body was replaced with a same year F-100. The odometer isn't to be trusted, so I don't know how many miles. Where do I start? I'm going to flush the fluids and stuff. I hope I'm not a sucker; but I saw this truck and my mind went crazy with the possibilities. It was hard to find what a fair price would be for such a thing, with the body change and the cattle bed and all- so any thoughts on that matter are welcome too!

I don't know how far you want to dive into that engine right off the bat, but if it looks original under the hood, I'd go for hoses, belts, and gaskets too. And give it a tune up, with new plugs & wires, etc...
