Anyone know anything about RED ROCKS? A cross with a Barred Rock & RR

You are correct, M'lady!

If you wanted a Red Plymouth Rock, I think the start would be best using a Buff Rock and a RIR, or possibly a buff rock and a blue rock.

If you are trying to produce an autosexing Red Barred breed, it is called a Rhodebar.
First step is to mate RIR cock to Barred Rock hen, keep the barred cockerels and cull the black pullets.
Next mate the retained Barred cockerel to RIR hens, cull all black, black barred and solid red birds, retain the barred reds.
Then mate the barred red cockerel to barred red pullets, retain the barred birds, cull the solid red birds,
Lastly mate the lightest coloured barred red cock to the barred red hens, you now have a pure breeding auto sexing line of birds. Chicks can be sexed at birth, males will be light coloured, pullets dark.

Only the sex linked barring is needed for the auto sexing in this case?

I get two conflicting information about this, some mention only barring, as if that will be enough while others "insist" on either adding ig or mottling to make them auto sexing? Talking about auto sexing in general, not strictly in regards Rhodebars etc.

Another question- do "gold duckwings" have ig? Is this what makes them look different from red duckwings?

You don't need Mo or ig in autosexing breeds. None that I know of have Mo,& only Cream Legbars have ig. Most Gold Duckwing are split for Silver & gold, and don't breed true. ig would be good to make them from Red Duckwing

Fifty-Five Flowerys are barred and mo, IIRC.. David Caveny says combination of barring and mo will work for autosexing. Also IIRC(could be wrong here- pretty much lost track of who said what), he also said ig is needed in combination with barring for autosexing.

Edited to rephrase my originial comment: Are Crele OEG autosexing?

Why do hatcheries use sex linked matings(RIR over barred rock, wing feather growth etc) or vent sexing for production breeds instead of just creating autosexing production Rocks, for example?

The news that Rhodbars etc don't have ig or helper genes is a huge surprise to me.. am letting that sink in right now. Had assumed they did, that was my mistake. Cambars are gold based with sex linked barring or..?

I'm not familiar with how ig affects the phenotype. How do I recognize if a bird has ig- any examples of breeds or colors with ig?

Sorry never heard of ,or able to find a breed called Fifty-Five Flowerys.
Mo will work with barring in autosexing breeds,it's just not essential.
Yes Crele OEG,if bred properly are autosexing, but males need to be homozygous for barring, the darker heterozygous males, which do not breed true, are favoured in the showpen.
Hatcheries probably don't breed autosexing breeds because most people think the hens are dull and don't like them.
You can have both Gold Canbars & Silver Cambars.
ig dilutes gold but does not affect black, in the USA see Creme Brown Dutch.

Hi folks
Thank you for all the feedback. I did hatch some out. Their about 7 weeks old. And look like Barred Rocks. A bit smaller I guess. I only hatched 2 out. Their both pullets and are very hard to tell the diff between them and the real Barred Rocks I hatched out at the samee time.
thanks again
