anyone know of a fox deterrent?

I goggled this and found nothing , what do you do put it on your birds, seems like anything you sprayed or spread around would dissipate after a while and e ineffective.

I use dogs to keep wild bird eaten critters away but was wondering about this product.

I live in the UK too and have kept chickens a number of years and never lost any to foxes that regularly patrol my garden overnight, I find that prevention is better than a cure in this instance, you are never going to get rid of foxes, I just make sure my coop and run are secure from foxes and the birds are safely locked up each and every night, never use chicken wire runs they must be weld mesh and they need to be either paved at the bottom or completely covered in mesh, remember foxes also dig! this will stop them, they do occasionally scare my chickens at night by clawing at the coop door so I have placed a fence panel over this to stop them doing it, my neighbours keep telling me they see foxes, I'm sure they do! I let my birds free range during the day even when I am at work which is a risk but my garden is overlooked by many houses and people going in and out all day in their gardens and they have dogs so a fox would have to be very bold to attempt a daylight robbery! just be pleased we only have foxes as the biggest threat to our poultry in the UK

(If you live in a rural area I would not recommend free ranging your birds during the day when you are out, foxes are mainly nocturnal but in quiet areas can be seen during the day)
