Oh ok. The one picture I posted is definitely a speckled Sussex... this is her now.

Where did you get them, what leg color do they have, and can you tell what comb type?

Without more information, I'm guessing Welsummers.

We got them from tractor supply. Legs look yellow and I’m not sure about the comb. They are still pretty small. How do you identify comb type?

It’s hard to identify comb type when their young. Here is a Brahma and Sapphire gem for example. Though they’re not as young as yours.


The sapphire Gem has a single comb. It will have one line. (Sorry, more blurry pictures)

This is a Brahma. It’s a bit harder to tell, but it has 3 ridges, and is flatter in shape.

You can usually tell if it's going to be a single comb because they'll have one straight row of little bumps. If it's a pea or rose or cushion comb bird they'll have multiple rows of bumps or just a little flat spot there. At one day old, all I'd be able to tell is single/not single.
