I rescued this poor little "guy", (not sure of the gender yet), from a creepy local feed store. He is super sweet and thinks I'm his momma! hehe. I took him because all of his back feathers were ripped out and he was bleeding pretty bad. He looked so miserable and kept pacing back and forth in his cage. When I took him home, I kept him in "quarantine" in a smaller coop, for a couple days to heal, away from my "mean girl" golden sexlink pullets. I slowly introduced them, they pick on him every now and then, but he is really fast and can flutter up to his special living area above the hen boxes, where it's safe. They're slowly accepting him and now let him cuddle with them at night. He is so attached to me too! One day he just let me pick him up and ever since, he always follows me around and wants to be held and coddled.

I'm curious about his breed. Maybe an Amber Star hybrid? The owners from the feed store told me he was a Silky because he's "fluffy" and sold him to me for $10! What a scam. It was very obvious that he's not a Silky. Oh well, I'm just happy to have him.

If anyone has an idea about this breed, please let me know! Thanks! :)

Easter Egger. Very cute

Looks a lot like my Biscuit (EE pullet) at that age! Here she is now at about 12 weeks.

the gold one. Although yours looks like she (got the hallmarks of a girl right now) might have a cream instead of gray base. Such sweeties! Have fun!
