Maybe it is a bit early to tell. We'll have to wait!

It probably isn't too early to tell, but this one has me stumped! the black wing feathers and the black ones on her mid-back are really throwing me off here.

I don't know, I did some more research and I came up with birds that are called "Lakenvelder" and the babies look decently like penguins :

and the pullets look decently like the bird you have:

Yeah, searched up how the pullets look and they look nothing like this one. We'll have to wait and see.

Yes, they said the black and white chicks were hard to tell. Her bestie Veronica is a buff Brahma bantam and is double her size.

I don't think we should rule out the Lakenvelder, taking a few looks at it they are very similar. Maybe a mix?
