Anyone know what the minimum amount of chicks I can get at Tractor Supply is?

I'd like to get a couple of chicks from TSC (in person) and was wondering if there is a minimum? Could I just get two? And do they sell bantams?

The minimum in my area was changed from 6 to 4. But you can get more then that if you want, but not less then 4.

I was just in mine and they had "minimum 4, maximum 12" (North Bay CA).

My TSC doesn't seem to have a maximum limit. People will buy a whole brooder full of chicks.
Some person last year bought up all 25, or 30 White Crested Black Polish bantams a couple years ago.
Ours' is located in East, Tawas Michigan.

In my state the minimum is six.
If you find someone else that wants Chicks and takes the extras that would work, but;
You should always get at least three. Chickens are a Flock animal, and;
In my experience with 3 batches of day old Chicks bought at a feed store, 10% fail to survive ten days.
So if you only get two, there's a small chance that you could lose one. GC

Getting only 2 is never a good idea. If one ends up dying then you'll be left with 1 lonely chick
