I've just realised that a Pied Crollwitzer tom is running with the hens at the place I'm collected my eggs from. I'm planning for these to be table birds and was wondering if anyone knows what they are like as a table bird? They are apparently the same (or at least EXTREMELY similar to) as the American Royal Palm.
Also, what are you thoughts on a standard bronze for a table bird as I think that's what the Norfolk Bronze (the most likely breed I'll get) is. That and the Norfolk Black are the most common table birds amongst the organic market in the UK but a lot of stuff I've been reading from the states suggests favouring different breeds. Just after a general discussion really
I collect my eggs in an hour!!!
Very excited! Fingers crossed I get at least one surviving poult. I'm already worrying haha! I was a nervous wreck when hatching chickens last year and my broody hen did all the hard work
