My hen was about just 3 months old. She started losing feathers and then died about a month later.

Green is usually brushing. Since her feathers are missing, I would wonder if she was being feather picked by other chickens. What was her age? Sorry for your loss.

Is the greenish tissue viable or necrotic (dead)? Some sort of abscess or gangrenous infection? Does it smell or ooze pus if cut open?
