So I tripped across this thread, was hoping for some actual paleontology enthusiasts, and,

I myself love Dinosaurs. Did since I was the littlest kid. My interests often veer towards the lesser known species, topics, or theories though.

I like Brachiosaurus and Parasaurolophus. The drawings of how they might have looked while they were alive are cute. I used to have a few dinosaur books and some tiny plastic models of them, too.

Dinosaurs are cool.

My ds loves them. Besides legos we collect everything dino. We all love the Walking with Dinosaur series,and the related ones on insects and animals.

Ds just asked me this morning..."Do people who dig up dinosaur bones make a lot of money?" I may be wrong but I told him no they don't make a huge amount of money. I think they rely on grants to fund digs,so it can be touch and go.

I told him there are people who dig for dinosaurs as a hobby,and some have found stuff too. I told ds to do what he has a passion for.Whatever makes him happy everyday *to go to work*, and that happiness makes whatever money you get worth doing it.

I didn't click until I went back to look! It does look like they're whacking each other with chickens!

And I enjoy reading about dinosaurs, my sister was convinced she wanted to study archeology- she became a lawyer instead. But it got me interested. Seems like South Dakota is a pretty good place to search for them.

I know nothing about them but they seem pretty neat. I do know watching the chickens run around hunting for insects makes me think just how magnificent their ancestors must have been.
