Anyone make a small coop out of a barrel?

I was thinking of making one for the chicks when it's warm outside.

There's literally no space inside a barrel. I stuck a roost through the center of an old whiskey barrel (laid on it's side with both ends off) that I have out in the field as a place for a bird or two to duck into if/when hawks are in the sky. But because of the rounded shape, there's really just not much space inside. Two birds can fit on the roost.

This is just for the chicks on warm days, they'll be put back in the coop at night. I was thinking it would be a good place for them to take some shade and eat and drink.

I saw this one in an old book and thought it looked cool for a day coop.
