Last night was one of the best New Year's Eves of my life. I celebrated it with my church, which is very small. We gathered at the parsonage and had food and fellowship. After the meal, so of us played ping-pong and Pit, then we all gathered together and sang hymns and had testimonies. As the New Year began, we had a time of prayer and then visited until 1 a.m.
Today Dad and I went on the annual "Chilly" bike ride. It was only in the 20's-30's and there was no snow, unlike last year, when it snowed the entire ride! We rode to a local park, where we watched the Polar Bear Club take their traditional New Year's Day dip into the St Joe river. Brrr! Some people just waded in, others got their heads wet. After the Polar Bear dip, Dad and I rode back to the start point where they had a chili cook off.
Tonight my family is going to my Aunt's house for the traditional meal of pork & saurkraut. Family time is always special, and I have finally learned to like pork & saurkraut!
Happy New Year, everyone!!
