Yes, they are. There is nothing green to eat outside and they spend more time inside during cold/wet weather so they chow down pretty good now. It's just par for the course, I think. We just know that's the way it will be. And they are laying very well.
I use 50# layer feed @
3 weeks and have been tucking them in with a
cup or 2 of dry cat food and warm brown rice,
and some green beans But I dont do this as often in the warm days..
and they are still laying,
but eating like its their last supper LOL
I would not use cat or dog food. Mad cow disease is thought to be started by cows eating other cows brains on a farm or it was from feeding cattle feed that was made with left over cattle parts.
