This is the first time I order any live animals through the mail. I ordered the Hatchery Surprise on 6/13/13. I received a confirmation email right after stating it was ordered. I received a emailed later that afternoon of a shipping date 6/17/13 at 5am. Today is now 6/17/13 and I haven't been contacted about a delay in my shipping date or a email with tracking information. Has anyone ordered through Cackle and didn't receive a email saying your order was shipped with a tracking number? I am worried about my order because I asked them to contact me by email. Since our phone is being worked on this week. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks !

If you have an order # maybe someone can call for you.
They're pretty reliable so I'm assuming from your info that your chicks are on the way. I'd go to your post office today or tomorrow and get the phone # of the sorting room. The # in the book won't be answered until 9AM.
Let them know you have animals coming and for them to call you. I would call the sorting room # by 6 AM Wednesday and the priority mail should be there by then.
Take a camera with you and open the box when you pick it up in case there are dead chicks - which is extremely rare.
The chirping usually drives them crazy and they're glad to be rid of them.
Don't let them put the chicks on the truck for delivery.

It has been a year since we ordered but we have always had good service with Cackle. They usually throw in a few extras in case they have a rough ship but we only received a couple dead on our last order and I think that was only because we couldn't get in to pick them up until later in the day.
