Anyone ordered fom Gabbard Farms?

I am looking to order some chicks and ran across their website. Please let me know what your experience was with this company and your opinion of the chicks you received. Were they accurate in sexing the chicks?

I bought one of their eBay listings for 8+ D'Anver eggs. Unfortunately they got caught in the mail system during a heat wave. Not one hatched. I have heard good things overall but make sure to avoid holidays and whatnot for shipping. There was a holiday I hadn't realized at first would close the post office. I tried to beat the closure with the shipping but it didn't make it before all the postal workers went home.

Communicatin was very good, eggs were well wrapped; not one was broken on arrival.

I have better luck hatching eggs shipped in winter than when its warmer. As long as its not in the low teens they will be alright.

You might want to search BYC for Gabbard Farms. There are quite a few people who were unhappy with their eggs. Me being one of them.

And I should add I order allot of eggs every year. And I know what happens during shipment and such. So I am not a complainer. But that is only 1 od 2 places I have had zero hatch.

I also love to hatch in the winter.

I ordered eggs from them and did get 3 chicks whiich actually isnt that bad for my shipped eggs. 3 - 5 is about what i get
