Anyone raise Emu's for meat?

CamelDairy that is an interesting variety of animals in you signature line how much land do you have? How's your bee's we were hit hard this year with hive beetles but we don't use chemicals and the traps just couldn't keep up.

We have 45 acres here. The bees did very well, that's my husband's domain. He works real hard to keep those dang beetles at bay!

Cameldairy, do you/would you ever consider offering internships or classes on how to raise and milk camels, and how to butcher ratites?

question im in CA, i could supplement feed .. black solidar flies, waxworms, bee larve, (fodder-anything grown aquaponically) but i saw a video of them eating grass on pasture -- mix pasture look like normal parie ... im wondering how many pounds of that they could eat.. since they eat around 1pound to 1 1/2 pound per day? so little information. did anyone give emu's a try?
