Anyone ready to ring in the new year...and lose weight/get fit?

Have you looked into respite care? We have it here in the states, where a caregiver comes in to the home however often you need it, to give the regular caretakers/family a break, sometimes for just a few hours, sometimes for the whole day. Sounds like it might be worth looking into.

- we didn;t get any help here for 13 years now we have direct payment care which basically means we have to sort it ourselves and we pay DD to stay here now while were away which isn;t really the best thing - but its why we got to go away at all!!!! Certainly I wouldn;t want a stranger in this house while I was away and Danny cannot go into a care unit because he is volatile at times and a lot of places wont have him at all unless hes in lock up and I don;t want that for him!!! There are no placements for him here in restbite units. That is why we have to organise care ourselves!!!!!! We also have to do that with Ben too and he has a great girl which really helps us loads right now!!! - it just makes extra stress though as we become employers then with all that to do as well! ITs not really a good way of getting restbite. Anyhow after finding out they put Peadaphiles on the restpite ward at the hospital here would you trust Social services whith your kid!!!!

Ugh I just came home from visiting the in laws... to no power! Our power is out and nobody else around us is??? And I have 2 incubators full of BLRW eggs that are all sold to waiting costomers! We got the generator going so hopefull the little babies are ok.
Not the biggest problem in the world but I needed to vent! Oh I'm not eating.... but I want to!
 
Thanks! They came out and said we have a bad transformer... gonna be a few hours before they get it fixed. At least we have wood heat!
 
I had every intention of being strong with my eating today, but I've been up all night with a chick who is dying. But she's holding on, fighting, and it hurts like heck. I hope she'll live but I just don't see how.

Driving to a nearby town soon to get a syringe to feed her. While I'm there, I'll probably get a cake. Because I want one.

I hurt = I eat.

Gotta find a better way to deal.
 
Well guys this couldn;t be worse today. Just got a letter from Social services to say they are withholding the direct care payments for Bens care worker????????????
Even though the Brain Injury unit says he should be getting double the care he has and he has all the reports and tests done. They first said he was eligable for the direct care in July last year - they promised care and in the end it took till January to get it sorted and back pay in for care we paid for on that promise. - Now only a month in they have withdrawn it ???? So what do I do phone the care worker and say STOP WORKING cause there are no wages coming at the end of this month???? I guess I will have to pay her myself out of our money again and then I will end up telling her not to come back - HOw in the world am I supposed to retain a worker like this????? I just knew going away was a mistake I am more stressed out and more tired now than ever. I can understand totally why so many parents have dun themselves and their disabled kids in over here! Not that I would go down that road but can understand the stress and exhaustion.

I am waiting on the fellow from the Brain Injury team to contact me - I am going to tell him to sort it out because in the end he gets paid and I don;t - so he can earn a wage and find out what these darn idiots are up to????

Hope your is ok it will take time though sometimes they die whatever you do for them.

Thanks for asking. The thread about my chick is at https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=451492 ... the consensus is that it's a heart defect. We all expected her to die during the night but she's fighting.
