Anyone Remember Me...

We spent a month in Cuba with me working on a business project, & just relaxing. At the last minute we decided to go to Bermuda & continue our vacation. From there we just kept travelling, as we had always planned on doing some world travelling at some point in our lives.

Looked at buying property in Grenada, then visited Buenos Aries. From there we went to Jamaica (where we had gotten married a few years back), then on to the Bahamas.

Then it was off to Scotland where Jan was born, then Poland where my late father was from. Then we went to Hawaii and stayed with a friend I grew up with for a month.

The reason behind this whirlwind tour I will share with you all. My wife Jan was diagnosed with Ovarian cancer originally 3 years ago. After surgery & radiation treatment she had been in remission until about a year ago.

The docs said there was nothing further that could be done. So while in Cuba we figured now was the time to visit the places we had put off while I had run my business.

We had 17 wonderful years together, & she passed away at a hospice in Hawaii with me holding her hand on the morning of May 30th. I celebrate our love & life we shared, & consider myself to be the luckiest guy in the world for having met her.

I returned to Inverness, Scotland and scattered her ashes as per her wishes.

Anyways that's where I've been & what happened.

PLEASE, no prayers or stuff of that nature. I don't worship any gods, & I'm not looking for sympathy. I've been very fortunate in my life, & my choices, & consider everything that has happened to be part of what life's road throws at you. My personal beliefs give me the strength & power to go forward.

You can't change the past, but you can make your own future is my own personal philosophy.

No smooshy stuff, but definitely a zillion hugs.
