anyone scraping frozen poop off the poop board yet

i did this morning. first freezing morning here.

Every morning!!! Today a high in the mid 30's, but I'm so used to frozen poo that the fresh stuff is gonna seem a little icky

I absent-mindedly went out to the coop yesterday am to let the girls out in my bathrobe and a pair of boots. After about 20 minutes of poking around, I thought "Hmmm - feels a little chilly this morning" and went back to the house - checked the temp and it was 18 degrees! Guess its time to dig out the boots and gloves

i got out the rubber water bowls this morning too. its that time of year of breaking the ice out every morning. starting at 3am tommorow morning have to be to work at 330 am. so fun fun.

frozen and 10º here is morning....frozen poop is an easy clean up!!!!...its hard and doesnt stick to anything if you put a little saw dust on your poop board!

My first time with chickens and I have noticed how much easier it is to clean frozen poop off of everything compared to warmer temps!

I have been cleaning the frozen bits of processed hen feed for weeks now. Much nicer than freshly dropped summer stinkers.
