Anyone sell duck eggs for eating?

I don't sell mine, but I saw someone in my area selling duck eggs for $3/dozen. I don't know if they actually sold any...

Personally, when I'm telling people about my ducks, they look at me with a mix of awe and horror and ask, "Do you eat their eggs?" I'm never able to convince them that the eggs are wonderful and rich, with big yolks, and or that they're great for baking. I tried giving some away once (to a relative), but it just so happened that there was a blood spot in one, and it sort of freaked him out, especially when I told him that it was a good indicator that the egg was fresh.

I have sold mine. I never have enough to meet demand. I sell mine for $6 per dozen and only to a few asian people near my work. Duck and duck eggs are very popular in asia so they are appreciated by many expats from that region. Generally, it's a little more difficult to sell duck eggs to anyone that has never had them before. That might sound simple but it's true.

We do but our regular chicken egg customers won't buy them. I had to put an ad on Craig's List and now we have regular customers that order 6-12 dozen at a time. Because we have so many, we charge $3/dozen or two dozen for $5. We started out higher but could only sell a dozen or two at a time and ended up with a surplus. The lower price guarantees that we sell them and everybody's happy.

We have sold duck eggs for $3/dozen. Now that our chickens are laying more people are buying those. Like others have said most people look at you like you are crazy. When selling them talk up how good they are in baking and also mention to people that there are people who are allergic to chicken eggs that have been able to eat duck eggs. If you have trouble selling like we did in the beginning, give some out as samples. This will hopefully get people hooked! Good luck!
