I had 3/5 in my first set hatch. My second set so far 8 have hatched and about 6 or so have pipped, its hard to tell Cu's there is so much going on!

Another chick died, gave up the fight of getting out of the shell. Still only 1 lonely White Leghorn chick (2 days old).

Final tally is in...
Out of 7 that started one died very early on and one died trying to pop out of the shell - upon autopsy it was clear it was underdeveloped and never would have lived.
So five healthy chicks are in the brooder!

All six eggs hatched! 
One pipped but never zipped; she was starting to be listless and her egg was drying out, so I helped her out of the egg. She was nearly shrink wrapped. She is weak, probably exhausted; we will see if she makes it. My experience had been, if they need to be helped out, they are weak top begin with, but I wanted to give her the chance. 100% hatch rate, with probable 85% survival rate. Fantastic! All Black Cooper Marans, hatched by a tiny bantam cochin in the bathtub. XD I love listening to the new family chirping to each other, her soft, low clucks and their little cheeps! It never gets old.

update... total headcount of Levin ship the eggs 4 lavender Easter Eggers 11 shipped eggs of 11 shipped eggs 1 zip ties halfway and died but it had something wrong 3 others died before hatch but right at the end had absorb some yolk but not all. 1 was h

we hatched today... and it snowed!
