I had my first incubator hatch yesterday , 6 beautiful babies, now my big hen has gone broody so I've just put 6 ebay hatching eggs in the nest box with 4 of her own, she has been sitting on her own for a couple of days but they are definitely not fertile (no daddy!). I might have messed up, I added the eggs when she came off to eat and now she's gone into a different nesting box. If she doesn't move by herself, I will try moving her when it goes dark. I have since read that I should have waited until dark to add the new eggs. Any advice? I'm tempted to set the bator up again.
