Anyone setting eggs starting July 15 -July 22?

I have 4 eggs due to hatch tomorrow. Also have 31 eggs that went in to lockdown today due to hatch Sunday. 12 eggs going in to lockdown on Sunday due to hatch on Tuesday. Have a very busy week a head of me. Which me luck this is my first hatch in my homemade cabinet incubator. Temp has been holding at 99-100 and humidity 50-65. Have a big plexi glass window in the front door. Will be keeping a chair and pillow in there starting tonight. I am so excited.

Hey Urban Mama!!
How are your eggs doing?
They are doing great actually. Thanks for asking. Mine are on day 13, and even though I don't see as much movements as I used to, I think they are all alive and well. I started with 27, but 3 were clear at day 7 so I already discarded those. I believe the 24 I have left are all alive even though I don't see movements like I used to. There is no bad smell so far. I candle one particular egg every other day. The egg gets progressively darker every time I candle so I know the baby chick is growing. The air sac looked good too. Since I have eggs of different sizes and shell thickness, the weight loss % varies between the eggs. I just hope that it will work out okay in the end.

I HAVE A CHICK!!!! I set my eggs at 10pm on July 17th. I was not expecting anything until next Tuesday. We are not even in lockdown yet!!! Here I was sitting at the computer and I heard cheep, cheep, cheep. I ran over to the bator and there is my smallest BR egg unzipped with a head poking out. I do not see any signs from the other eggs yet. Well one down and 11 to go. Pics to follow.

I am hopeful for you that you will get a good hatch rate, it sounds good so far. I candled mine a little bit ago. I did see movement but one does not look like it is near the air cell, not sure if it is in wrong position. I hope not. I was going to try the egg carton thing but I have read conflicting reviews so I will just stick with the regular hatching method. I only have three so hopefully nothing will get too knocked around. OH I do so hope they hatch. Will keep ya posted and you do the same. Lockdown soon. EEEK!

lock down starts tonight for me... so far out of 36 eggs we cracked 3 and one had a blood ring early on. I candled all the eggs and out of the remaining 32 only four looked like they either stopped developing or didn't develop. we'll see in a few days I guess.
