Anyone setting eggs starting July 15 -July 22?

I HAVE A CHICK!!!! I set my eggs at 10pm on July 17th. I was not expecting anything until next Tuesday. We are not even in lockdown yet!!! Here I was sitting at the computer and I heard cheep, cheep, cheep. I ran over to the bator and there is my smallest BR egg unzipped with a head poking out. I do not see any signs from the other eggs yet. Well one down and 11 to go. Pics to follow.
Ohh you lucky duck!

I am hopeful for you that you will get a good hatch rate, it sounds good so far.  I candled mine a little bit ago.  I did see movement but one does not look like it is near the air cell, not sure if it is in wrong position.  I hope not.  I was going to try the egg carton thing but I have read conflicting reviews so I will just stick with the regular hatching method. I only have three so hopefully nothing will get too knocked around.  OH I do so hope they hatch.  Will keep ya posted and you do the same.  Lockdown soon. EEEK!
I may try the egg carton method since I have 24. Yours should do fine with all that space. Hope to hear good news on your three soon.

Wow! Congrats. That's quite early, only 17 days. What temperature has your bator been running at? Is it a still or forced air?

I have been running between 99 and 100. It did spike once to 102 but it was only for a minute or so. Humidity has been between 45 and 50. I thought that was quite early too. I picked the eggs up from a local farmer on the evening of the 17th and being the newbie I am I didn't know to let them sit before I placed them in the bator. I put them in as soon as I got home (10pm.)
I built my own incubator using a video I saw on Youtube. The good old lightbulbs, thermostat and computer fan.

That's great. How cool - success on your first hatch using your own home built bator. Was it a video by incubatorwarehouse.com?
