Anyone setting eggs starting July 15 -July 22?

My shipped Mille Fleur D'Uccle eggs arrived today, I unpacked them and put them in an egg carton to rest around noon today. I ordered 12 but they sent 3 extras. I decided I wanted to fill out my incubator so I called a person that advertised farm fresh eggs on craigslist and asked if she has a rooster in with her hens. She said yes so I went and bought 2 dozen of her eggs for $4.00. I peeked into her coop/run area and believe I saw black sex link and red sex link and some others. I did not see her rooster though so I don't know what kind it is. I'm planning on setting the eggs first thing in the morning. I guess I'll break a couple of the farm fresh eggs for breakfast in the morning to check for fertility. This is my first time hatching chicken eggs. I have hatched some duck eggs from Metzer Farms but only had 4 hatch out of 15 due to problems regulating the temperature in my incubator. I have added a fan and added a "knob" to the stem of the thermostat so I can make smaller adjustments to the temperature. I also ordered a digital hygrometer/thermometer from incubator warehouse that I hope will work better than the meat thermometer that I used before.

Good luck to everybody on their hatches, I will be watching your's right along with mine so I hope everybody posts frequent updates. I will try to do so also.

P.S. If anybody local to me reads this, I have 25 two week old pullets in my brooder from Meyer Hatchery and I need to re-home about 10 RIRs. Chicken math is killing me.

At 7:45 pm, tonight i put in 5 unknown eggs. They are "farm fresh eggs" that i get by the dozens every month and share with family. but the majority of them are fertile ( and i just noticed this fact when i was baking this morning, yeesh!) so i thought i might as well give it a shot.. i probably should add that they have been in the fridge for 1 1/2- 2 weeks

But with 5 i have so i might have a chance...right? I hope everyone has a good hatch!

If trader joes eggs can hatch, you have a shot. Might want to see if there is a thread around for people hatching store eggs, probably the closest to your scenario. Should be interesting. :)

First timer here. Just set 27 eggs in a Brinsea Eco 20. The unit is supposed to hold 24 eggs max, but since I have a few small silkies and Polish eggs, I was able to fit 27. 18 eggs came from a friend locally, seven from Massachusetts, and one Trader Joe's egg just for fun. I don't think the TJ egg will hatch as it is a month old but the others are all less than five days old. Temp is a at 99.5 with humidity at about 31%. I plan to candle everyday, starting with day 2 thru day 18. I am hoping for a 50% hatch rate but will be happy with 30-40%.

I have a total of 41 eggs in set from the 15-21 set the last 26 last night. even sat 6 quail eggs 1 st time for them.

Bad news, the cats somehow got into the incubator last night and smashed the eggs, I will put 3 in tomorrow when they finally reach room temperature. :/ also putting heavy books on top now :(

I'd like to follow along with ya'll. I set 13 swedish flower hen and 5 from my flock that I think will be RIR, but the EE roo may have made his mark also.
I have a home made cooler bator, and this is my sixth setting.
I put mine in late on the 18th. My oldest egg is from the 11th.
