Congrats on the speedy delivery.
I'm sure the one that was zipping, will be fine-- but next time you might want to use a carton if you're concerned about rolling eggs. Or I use paper cups cut way down, - use any kind of 'egg holder' you find suitable.

No *sigh* I wish.

This is what paint babies are supposed to look like:

And mine is just dark bluish.
I love her to death, but c'mon. Paints are expensive, and I should have gotten what I paid for. It's just frustrating.

I can't find her a friend! Called all the local feed stores, and they all told me that their chick season is over and to check back in september.
Well that defeats the purpose.

And craigslist has nothing! Only some chicks that are maybe 3 weeks old, but I want one that is more her age, a week or younger.
She's so sad! She needs someone!

Wait until they are all nice and dry- you just don't want them to catch a chill.
About 8 - 12 hours... all depends on your time frame, they can stay over night or if they hatched early in the morning then you can take them out in the evening if you are concerned about your remaining eggs. You just want to be sure that they all get some water.
Water is the most important thing-- they'll figure out food on their own.
Thanks. I moved the first eight out after about 7 hours as it was getting crowded in my incubator. They are still wobbly and are sleeping most of the time. I think I will give them water tomorrow morning. Thanks.

Have not been on site but have been reading everyones posts. Had difficult hatch of three eggs. One pip at wrong end and died in egg. Truly unfortunate.
Took me forever to get a picture in here! Guy on right was assisted hatched on the 7th and the one on the leftt hatched morning of the 8th but had one heck of an umbilical hernia which is presently drying up so fingers crossed all will be OK (that is why they are seperated). Eating drinking pooping!

I am very happy and excited for all of you that are hatching so many cute cute babies. Congrats!
