Anyone setting eggs starting July 15 -July 22?

Il have to take pics of their whole pen I built their pen around the outside of my grape arbor so the grape vines shade them and hang all over the outside of their pen. they love it in the late summer when grapes fall into their area.

I Love It!!! I think I did the nesting thing setting up my brooder. My 24 year old son bought a house and moved out in June and that is when the hatching bug bit me. I looked at incubators and decided I wanted to build my own. Years ago I used an extra large dog crate in the garage as my brooder. This time around I set up an old 50 gallon aquarium in my son's room.
Good Idea! last time I made one I used an old small entertainment center, took the shelves out set it on its side and stapled fencing on the top. I didnt even think to use an old aquarium. Thats what im hatching my eggs in is my 30 gal fish tank.

I just got home and one of my eggs are pipping. Was not expecting any of the 4 to hatch. I can hear the little guy or gal in their chirping away. I am so excited. This is my first hatch. We be sitting guard at the plexiglass viewing window of my incubator tonight.

Ok so I guess I'm nesting like i did when I was pregnant only im getting a coop ready instead of a baby room. so I decided to occupy my time while waiting for my eggs to hatch, and paint my plain old chicken house. Im not finished yet but I will add more pics as I go along.

That is an AWESOME coop. I love it. And, the coat of paint makes it look so cheery and homey. Well done!

AAAHHHGGHHH! I got home from work and my bator was reading 102.9, I will not be able to deal if this happens again to me

Best of luck to you. Chick # 3 just hatched for me and #4 has a big hole with his/her beak sticking through. They had both pipped around 7am this morning. It seems to be taking mine about 14 hours from pip to hatch. I have another that pipped this afternoon around 3pm so hopefully that one will be hatching when I wake up in the morning. Still have 7 to go with no signs yet.
